School and multipurpose hall in Vella/SwitzerlandBerlin

An important argument for ventilation systems in school buildings is the improved air quality. Measurements carried out in school buildings that do not have a controlled ventilation system have demonstrated that, in spite of opening the windows during the breaks, the CO2 concentrations in these schools lay above the limiting values of 1,500 ppm for an average of three-quarters of the school time. These levels are detrimental when concentrating. Only a ventilation system can guarantee healthy, oxygen-rich air during the entire lesson.
