Resolair regenerative energy recovery

Extensive measurements and research have shown that the MENERGA^® Resolair^® solVent^® regenerative energy recovery unit has a temperature efficiency in excess of 90%. The heat recovery efficiency is so high that in many cases, the installation of heating in the unit can be omitted.

The supply and exhaust fans simultaneously pass warm exhaust air through the first accumulator and cold outside air through the second. At intervals, the airflow direction is automatically changed inside the Resolair^® unit. By means of this changeover, virtually all of the heat in the return air is transferred to the incoming cold outside air. The winter heat recovery efficiency in excess of 90% allows introduction of outside air at low outdoor temperatures without energy penalty:

• Supply air temperature nearly equal to room temperature during winter heat recovery
• For many applications, no heating coil is required in the Resolair® unit
• Low energy solVent® direct coupled fans drastically reduce electricity consumption compared with traditional belt driven fans
• Moisture recovery in winter reduces humidification requirement
• Cooling recovery and dehumidification in summer when return air temperature lower than outside air temperature
• Simple to use, fully automatic (DDC) control of temperature and air volumes
• Ideal for existing or new installations
• Low maintenance

Where there is a requirement for greater cooling or humidity control, additional mechanical cooling can be built into to the unit (Resolair^® Type 67/68):

• Condenser in exhaust air stream
• No external refrigeration pipework required
• No space required for chiller plant or condensing units
• Higher cooling efficiency
